Park-Up: the tele-rehabilitation service for people with Parkinson’s disease is active

546 245 Need Institute

It’s a great pleasure to inform you that Need Institute has activated Park-Up, the first tele-rehabilitation service that offers motor, cognitive and speech therapy activities aimed at people with Parkinson’s disease. The service is provided by specialized therapists through a multi-channel technological platform. The personalization is based on the assessment of the functional status of the person through cognitive, motor and speech therapy questionnaires, following which the therapists can assign suitable and personalized activities to the subject’s profile and can monitor the progress of the rehabilitation path in real time, making the necessary changes and keeping in constant contact with the user through video calls. The service is run through tablets, which could be provided to those who are willing to participate in the a European project  called ProCare4Life (https://procare4life.eu/).
