Motor, cognitive and speech tele-rehabilitation for people affected by Parkinson’s disease
Who is it addressed to?
The service is addressed to people suffering from Parkinson’s disease or other parkinsonisms.
Park-Up provides personalized home activity with an approach that integrates live rehabilitation treatment forms.
The 4 phases of Park-Up
Data collection through a questionnaire covering motor, cognitive and speech aspects, aiming at the definition of a shared personalized therapeutic project.
Therapists assign targeted activities to the subject, who will independently perform such activities using a tablet. Therapists check the user’s performances weekly.
The therapist will make periodic video calls.
Once activities are completed, a questionnaire covering motor, cognitive and speech aspects is foreseen, to monitor symptoms evolution.
The patient has access to rehabilitation in his own home environment.
The user follows a personalized therapeutic pathway.
The user has direct contact with the therapist through video calls
The caregiver can directly interact with the therapist for advice / concerns
THE RESEARCH PROJECT
Access to the Service, as well as to the App, are subject to a preliminary medical assessment, carried out after signing the Contract, via a remote interview during which the User will be asked to answer a questionnaire concerning motor, cognitive and speech aspects.
The User needs a WI-FI internet connection and, should the User have a Tablet available, the same can download the App via Google Play (for Android Tablets).
Should the User not have a tablet available, it can be requested through the Subscription Form, in order to be granted on loan for use by Need Institute. The App will already be pre-installed in the granted-on loan tablet.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with Art. 13 Regulation n. 2016/679 / UE (GDPR) and Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003).

The service duration will be defined when signing the Contract, with a minimum duration of one month. During the initial assessment phase, a non-binding treatment period will be recommended. At the time of signing the Contract, the duration (in months) for Service activation will be agreed upon. The service may in any case be concluded beforehand, as per the conditions set out in the Contract (“General service conditions”).
During the start-up phase, the service will be provided free of charge. Once the start-up phase is over, a monthly subscription fee will be required.
