The Need Institute Foundation will be taking part for the first time in the Milan Longevity Summit 2026, one of the most important international events dedicated to the themes of longevity, prevention and innovation in the field of health. Scheduled to take place in Milan from 20 to 23 May 2026, the Summit will bring together scientists, doctors, institutions, companies and organizations committed to building new healthcare models based on the ‘One Health’ approach, which links human well-being, the environment and social development. For the Need Institute, this involvement marks an important step forward. The Foundation will have the opportunity to bring its objectives to the attention of the medical and scientific community and the public, with a view to promoting the value of research and the importance of investing in prevention, early diagnosis, and new therapeutic and care strategies. The Foundation has always operated in the clinical and scientific fields, with a particular focus on the biological mechanisms underlying conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS, in the firm belief that a better understanding of these processes will soon lead to more effective treatments.
The SMART HOME CARE project, funded by Fondazione Cariplo, will also be presented. The project, which is still active in Milan’s 6th Municipality, aims to enhance services for frail elderly people, assessing the possibility of personalized interventions tailored to the specific needs of individuals. In addition to Need Institute, the following partners are involved: Cooperativa Equa, Fondazione Cassoni, KService and CERGAS at Bocconi University, whose valuable collaboration is aimed at evaluating and devising a possible new model for social and healthcare support.
Attending the Milan Longevity Summit will provide an opportunity to forge new partnerships with institutions, research centers, businesses and international stakeholders, helping to strengthen the dialogue between science, society and innovation.
In a context where longevity is not just about living longer, but about living better and in good health, the Need Institute thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting a culture of prevention and care that looks to the future.
